Company Journal 02.5: Top three at the Pro Landscaper Awards

Written By Wez - 15/10/2026

A quick extra between journals. In Company Journal 02 we said we would share the result from the Pro Landscaper Sustainability & Biodiversity Awards, and it felt wrong to sit on it until the next issue.

The night

On Tuesday 13 October the team headed to Farnborough International Exhibition & Conference Centre for the awards ceremony, held after the first day of FutureScape. Representing Silver Tree on the night were Paul, Oz, Neil, Ben & James. Now in their third year, the awards recognise landscaping, grounds and arboriculture businesses for their work on sustainability and biodiversity, with 14 categories this year.

The result

Silver Tree Services was one of three finalists in the Arboriculture Company category, presented in partnership with Apex Soil Solutions, alongside G Trott Tree Consultancy Ltd and Lowther Forestry Group Ltd.

The award went to G Trott Tree Consultancy. Congratulations to them, and to Lowther Forestry Group on making the shortlist too. You can see every category winner in Pro Landscaper’s announcement.

We did not bring the trophy home, but being named one of the top three arboriculture companies in an industry award for sustainability and biodiversity is a result we are proud of, and one the whole team earned.

Why it matters to us

Sustainability is part of how we work every day, not a side project. Timber, brash and green waste from our tree surgery, clearance and grounds work comes back to our yard rather than going to a transfer station. There it is graded, chipped, split and dried, and goes back out as seasoned firewood, biomass chip and landscaping mulch for homes and gardens across Gloucestershire.

Our nursery grows stock that our landscaping teams plant, our crews check for nests, habitats and protected species before work starts, and it all runs under our ISO 14001 environmental management system. There is more on our sustainability page.

Thank you

Thanks to Pro Landscaper and headline partner Allgreen for a great evening, to host Adam White, and to the judges for their time. Most of all, thanks to everyone across the teams whose work on site every day put us on that shortlist.
