We are available to quote for all jobs prior to commencing works, which may include the following:
To ensure the continued health and future growth of all trees, maintenance may be required at some point during their life. This includes many specialist areas which can be advised for upon quotation.
This produces a more uniform, ‘tidier’ appearance, without sufficiently reducing the size or shape of the tree. Works include removing the outer branches at suitable growth points.
If you’re looking for a more uniform, perhaps espalier look, or want to reduce the density of trees to allow more of a view, crown lifting may be a suitable option. Works involve increasing the distance between the ground and crown by removing lower limbs up to a specified height. This also often allows more light to hit the ground, providing additional areas for planting, which may otherwise not be possible.
This service can be for asthetic looks or for reducing the weight load on a tree, which may pose a health and safety threat if unstable. Crown reduction and pruning decreases the size and/or spread of a tree.
Many trees require regular pollarding, usually in late winter or early spring to sustain dense crown branches and foliage. This pruning system involves removing all upper branches of the tree.
As the name suggests, deadwooding involves removing any dead or dying branches that may later become a health and safety hazard. This is particularly important and also benefits the living tree.
Branch and limb removal: Branch and limb removal is another pruning method, suitable if you are looking to alter the shape and/or spread of a tree. This is particularly beneficial if the tree is growing in an ansuitable direction, such as towards other buildings.
If you are looking to remove a tree, our team are able to take on this task, regardless of the surroundings. All health and safety measures will be put in place to ensure this is conducted safetly and effectively. Trees can be felled leaving the stump in place, or removed completely.
Should you have an existing stump left in place, our team have the experience and equipment to grind this down to ground level, or remove it completely depending on the size and scale of the stump in question.
This service generally refers to the thinning of larger woodland areas, to make way for improved growth or other developments, as required. We have the experience of working on extensive areas and as always, adhere to all risk assessment, and health and safety requirements.
We always assess each individual tree and advise suitable works. Prior to any tree work, we contact the local authority with whom we work very closely, if the tree in question has a TPO (Tree Preservation Order) we submit a standard planning application to the local authority detailing work we recommend on that particular tree. We carry out TPO’s on a weekly basis and are 100% successful as we have vast experience dealing with preserving and conservation of these special trees.
Onsite risk assessments are carried out during the quoting stage, this allows us to arrange equipment we may need for safe working practice. Once on site and before any work begins we carry out another risk assessment, we constantly assess and manage risk during the work. We hold NEBOSH (National General Certificate Occupational Health & Safety) a globally respected qualification recommended and used by 80% of all business in the UK.
